«RosKomSvoboda» regularly conducts public campaigns and projects aimed at protecting the rights and freedoms of the Internet community. In addition, we are engaged in monitoring registries and information work.
The purpose of our campaigns and projects is to draw the attention of citizens, media and government institutions to problems that exist on the Runet and affect a large number of people or society as a whole. We believe that with the help of public outcry we can influence decisions made by officials and seek to abolish or mitigate laws that infringe on users' rights.
We strive to ensure that every user of Runet can protect their rights. To this end, we monitor new legislation regulating the Internet, IT, and media and keep track of its enforcement, as well as monitor the prosecution of citizens for online publications, monitor the register of government procurement, and much more.
We have opposed the Internet tax and the Yarovaya Package, fought battles for Runet, launched copyright reform, defended the right to bitcoin, and defended individuals, such as Dmitry Bogatov, the administrator of the Tor exit node, who was accused of calling for terrorism.
The main news of the week in the field of law.
On December 23, 2022, the Ministry of Justice included Roskomsvoboda in the register of unregistered public associations performing the functions of a foreign agent. We disagree with this decision and are appealing it in court.
